It seems like wechat ignored all our reviews. This app is pratically useless

I updated to this new version, but it kept asking me to log in with QR code on PC. But there is no point to log in with QR code on PC. I cant log in since I updated to this version…and there is no place for me to enter my user name and passwords… Please please this version is so so not convenient…

Clicking on the icon in the bar no longer takes you to the app, in fact does nothing. Some problems with fullscreen mode: can’t the traffic lights to show. Everthing else is okay as far as I know...

It simply does not work! No way to login.

First thing is, OPEN THE APP WECHART ON MAC!!!..You may see the message to SCAN !!!.. , After second thing is…, login no your iPhone , after you can see on your iPhone > DISCOVER< soft button CLICK, after you can see > SCAN QR CODE< CLICK there, this gonig to align the QR CODE within the frame to SCAN, When the scan start you have to HOLD YOU IPHONE INFRONT OF YOUR MAC SCREEN, WHERE SHOW THE CODE TO SCAN THEN automatically login in your MAC… I hope you will understand now that how to login into mac computer. Thanking you

Soooooo, not only do you delete most of the negative reviews regarding this update, you still haven’t done the right thing, which is post a new update which would give us back the ability to log in to WeChat using our username and password?!??!? Admit that you screwed up, be humble and do the right thing. MAN UP.

I log onto computer for weChat because my phone is out of battery or I forgot to bring it with me sometimes. I can’t anymore after the update because you always need your phone to scan on!! What’s the point of this computer version then!!!!! How can I reinstalled to my previous version?!

i dont like the new version since it requires me to log in with QC scanning EVERYTIME ! this is reallllllly inconvenient, even worse when my phone is not beside me or lost ( this did happen last month)!!!!! please plzzzzz change it back !

It is really fast and easy to use. Much better than iMessage. Now I can enjoy chatting while I’m on my Mac. For those of you who are complaining about the log in issues, please keep in mind that it is much easier to just scan your QR, which works flawlessly. If you are starting out WeChat, then it might be a good idea to install the app for your phone first. Once you have an account you can just scan the QR and use the WeChat on computers. I hope this would help most of those people who struggle with the log in.

plz add username + psw login back !!! so inconveniet to scan the qr code every single time…

The most stupid application ever seen. The uselessness manifests distinctly after the recent update. No more words to say.

What is the point of having an app designed so that you always need to have your phone with you. Pointless

I don’t know what everyone else’s problem with this app is. It works fine by scanning the QR code. Not such a big deal. Works fine for me.

the mac app doesn’t have video chat

Mostly I use this app on mac when my iphone runs out of battery. Then, How come I scan the code with my phone to login?! Whats the point of the scan the code?!

This should be a standalone application ! What’s the point of having a desktop app if you MUST be log in on your phone in order to use the desktop one? total failure, really, as this would have been useful in case phone power off or sth. I know you guys don’t and never will take reviews into consideration. Consider yourself lucky the lowest rating is one star! complete waste of time!

doesnt make sense to me

It works great. has native mac notifications, everything you need for wechat working on the mac. I dont see whats the whole fuss with all these bad reviews… Wechat is a phone app, it is designed to be used as a companion. Please just learn how to use it instead of keep complaining..

guys,you need to open the wechat on phone first to scan it and then it will directly log in on mac

To log in open your wechat on your phone go to discover and scan the qr code using your phone.
