Update your code WeChat Team. Daily instance authentication is absurd. Prioritize pushing this to a persistent log-in and rule the world, its that simple. Ease of use=More users. You want the west to adapt and impliment your utility, there it is.

My mac WeChat used to work well but now it bascially cannot do anything. Received messages won’t sync and sending msgs will simply fail. Check it please, guys!

I rarely write review for an app on either iOS or Mac App store, unless they are extremely good or terrible. In this case, Wechat is the bad example. Very buggy. Slow on receiving messages, and once your Mac sleeps and it is hard to get your Wechat reconnected again. Another horrible thing is that sometimes it CANNOT be quited, no matter you click the “quit” botton or use Command+Q. You can only quit this app by using the Force Quit botton. The iOS version is user-friendly. I sincerely hope Wechat develop team can sometimes take a look at Mac app store reviews and users feedback and make some improvement!

How can a company as large as 腾讯 (Tencent) continue to ignore the Mac desktop as a platform for quality apps? I know PC users in China are the majority, but this is one of the most widely used applicaitons in Asia and still the Mac desktop verison is a bare bones and buggy version of what I have on my smartphone. This is why innovation in China continues to be stiffled.

The main reason I don’t like WeChat for Mac is because I can’t do Video call, you can only do that on the iOS version. Then I can only have 2 devices logged in at a time, and I don’t like that either.

Blackberry wechat app can’t scan the QR code!!! It shows the QR code expired everytime, why is this happening? please fix this!

Everytime we need to use our phone to log in, but the thing is if i could use my phone for wechat i wouldnt use my lab. Sometime my phone dead, or i left my phone at home, and thats the time i try to use my labtop to contact my friends. I wish u guys can provide the normal log in option like entry ID and password!!!!!!

There is a long time that Wechat did not update new version. Does Tencent has been stopped developing the new version on Mac?

As others have said, it is very weak compared tothe iOS version. It has been a long time since the last update, and the features are lacking. Logging in via your iphone is a pain.

Wechat for mac definitely need the Moment added. if wechat have a online chat history sync function, that would be awesome! And video calling

To Tencent, I understand Mac users don’t hold much market shares as to Windows users. But as tencent is aiming to market wechat to the entire Asian continent or even the world, Mac OS compatiablity is a MUST! This app hasn’t been updated for almost a year, while the Windows Wechat app has reached 2.0 already. We want the new features that in syncs with the iOS app. Please, my dear developers at Tencent. BTW, why can’t you guys intergrate Wechat with QQ in a more seemless way? In conclusion, i give this app 1 star due to the carelessness and negligence for Mac OS users.

This version is too old, and some fuction of it are missing. Hope you can update this ASAP.
