I used the video/audio chat before upgrading to the current version. But I can no longer find it now (1.2.2.x). Additionally, features(friend circle, etc.) missing from mobile version before, are still missing.

I have been using We chat for one year.Never had a problem with it.I like this app very much.It’s the best chat tool.

My phone is dead so I want to use the Mac version to communicate with my friends while I am replacing my phone. However to log in you have to use your phone to scan the code. This stupid logic is unbelievable! At least let the Mac version can log in independantely. Previous version can do that and I don’t understand who made the stupid decision to remove this.

Why we need a PC ver. or MAC ver. wechat? I really wonder why. The answer is that: we might lost our phone, our phone is disabled for certain reasons. That’s why we need a laptop ver. Wechat. Am I right? But the wechat company made the MAC ver. dumb and useless by requiring us to sign in by scanning QR code, which requires our phone. I think this a HUGE concern that Wechat needs to fix. I’m not the only one who have this problem. Thousands of us have the same problem and i think i really should write a paragraph about this. This is such a bad experience. 为什么我们用电脑版微信？我真好奇为什么。答案就是：因为一些原因，我们无法使用自己的手机。 这是为什么我们需要使用电脑版微信。 我没有说错不是么？但是微信公司把mac版本的微信变得一文不值，怎么会呢？因为这个APP要求扫描二维码来登录微信，而这个步骤需要你的手机。我相信这是一个非常重要的问题。我不是唯一一个有这个问题。千千万万的我们拥有相同的问题，所以我认为我需要写一篇文章来谈谈这个重要的问题。这是一个很差的经历。

When I run WeChat on my RMBP 15, the CPU usage is almost 25%. Can you believe a chatting appication needs to use 25% of a Quad-Core i7 and make the fan spin at full speed??? Please fix it.

Tencent seems not treating Mac client seriously. The current WeChat version is ugly and buggy, also running slowly, but Tencent does not upgrate it. It makes me disappointed.

Wechat for mac is so not updated. Can’t stand it any more. Why didn’t you guys put any effort into it? See, the last update is 4 months ago.

Compared with its Windows version, it lacks some important features like voice/video chat.

I lost my phone, so wanted to get on web we chat to let people know not to contact me that way. But to log in to web we chat, you have scan a QR code WITH YOUR PHONE. What geniuses thought this was a good idea? Totally useless.

If you are trying to drag WeChat from your computer screen to your external display (or from ext. Display to your Mac screen), you’ll get glitch windows and eventually will result a crash. FIX it please. Although this is an incomplete application, at least it shouldn’t crash

As far as I can tell the Mac version has no access to video or camera, cannot do video calls from computer.

i cannot restart my macbook bc i cannot quit wechat somehow maybe bc wechat is a varius that screw my laptop up. Plz never use this on macbook it can break ur computer,!!!

Really its best app

When you log in, my conversations on the mobile app doesn’t show up in OS X app. If I log out or lose connection and forced to log out, I lose all the conversations on the OS X app. This makes the OS X app almost useless.

The first and foremost feature to be included in wechat is the export of chat history to email or secure storage of chat history in their online server which can be retrieved when I log in with my account. I have no record of my previous messages. The emoticons are too simple and the user experience is not exciting as in other messaging apps like Line, Tango, etc. Even the voice and video quality is not that good. I only use this app because all my Asian friends, especially Chinese, use it.

The only good thing is you can type on keyboard than cellphone so it’s speeded up….

I got this because my phone was stolen and i need to keep updated with my friends and groups. Why would you make it so you need a phone to even log in? I get that your a mobile application but jesus. Get your sh!t together.

after the latest upgrade to iOS 10.11.3, weChat just constantly crashes my macBook EVERY TIME after I start the app. Please fix it!

Can’t make video calls on my MacBook after “authenticating” from a droid phone. This app is worthless to me.
